Kullen and Crayfish

After a short journey you arrive at Kullen that is situated in the southern part of Sweden. Kullen is one of Sweden’s most magnificent nature reserves. It’s an 8 km long mountain, which offers almost anything you could wish for if you are into nature.

You now have the chance to experience this beautiful spot just as the Swedish people do. With a real Swedish summer tradition – called ‘’Kräftskiva’’ – we guarantee that you will have a great time.

Schnapps to each claw. The crayfish are boiled in water together with salt and dill – but are served cold. As side orders you will have bread, crisp bread and cheese. Besides the food, it is an important part of the “Kräftskiva” tradition that you drink schnapps and sing along while eating.

We will of course bring along a musician that will entertain you with different shows and lyrics. It is real traditional Swedish entertainment!

At the crayfish feast the surroundings will be decorated with paper lanterns and the participants will receive colorful hats and bibs. A bib is a good idea to wear since crayfish can be a greasy affair. Crayfish is eaten with your hands, and it requires a special technique to get the meat out of the tail and claws.

Should you require any teambuilding activities during the day, the area is great for competitions and tours. We will e.g. take you to Sweden’s most controversial artworks, Nimis and Arx. Nimis is a sculpture made of driftwood that is 150 meters long and up to 15 meters high, which you can discover on your own. Right at the beach and approx. 100 meters from Nimis, lies Arx which is a 150-ton sculpture made out of stone and concrete.

We look forward to seeing you at the Swedish “Kräftskiva”.
