Match Race
You could define match race as the “boxing match” of yachting. Two boats fight against each other, and the boat that crosses the goal line first, wins.
The races are created so that everybody has the opportunity to participate in the competition. Each group gets a personal match race skipper who instructs the participants in how to handle a real 37 feet DS match race boat.
The participants will start the day with a few lessons where they will receive a thorough instruction on the rules and the theory. Then, it is time for you, accompanied with our experts, to test your skills on the boat together with the other participants. A match race crew consists of six persons and a skipper. To achieve a good result, the participants will have to work together as a team in unusual situations and in an inspiring and different environment.
After the match, it is time for lunch and “prevarications” at the dock. At this time it is also possible to hand over any prizes that there might be. You have the opportunity to add many different and unexpected elements to this event that will turn the day into an extraordinary experience.
Due to the flexibility of the match race, the concept can be used for many different events. We have good experiences within areas such as teambuilding, client / employee events or as a prize during an internal or external competition.
During the match race there will be an expert present, answering any questions that might arise.
